Who we are

Independent HMO Compliance London is a trading name of IHC London Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17135222). Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

What we collect

When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or our callback form, we collect the details you give us: usually your name, phone number or email, and information about your property. When we carry out work for you, we also hold the documents needed for your inspection or licence application.

How we use it

Only to respond to your enquiry and to deliver the inspection or licensing service you've asked for. We share your information with the relevant council only where needed to submit a licence application or variation on your behalf. Callback requests from this website are delivered to us securely through a form service (Web3Forms). We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for up to 12 months. Records of work we carry out are kept for up to 6 years for accounting and insurance purposes, then deleted.

Cookies and analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages are visited and how many people get in touch. If you decline, these cookies aren't set. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Terms of service

Our full Terms of Engagement are sent with every booking confirmation and apply to all inspection and licensing work.
